The furniture is handmade by Barny and a skilled team in West Sussex, where he set up a workshop in 2008. Pieces, such as his hero product The Marl Dining Table, are available to order. A fascination with shapes, proportion and balance is always at the forefront of his design, and his pieces are as much sculptural as they are functional. A lifelong passion for working with wood ensures that his timbers are always painstakingly selected and construction is both traditional and enduringly precise. His pieces are built to last.

Designing and producing bespoke joinery, Barny strikes a balance between form and function, mixing contemporary with the traditional and observing how even the slightest changes in proportion and positioning of structures within a room can have a big impact on the feel and flow of a space.

In this same capacity, Barny offers interior design consultancy with a particularly architectural vision to projects.
